Department Staff: The Department consists of 36 employees, those being the Chief of Police, 1 Lieutenant, 3 fulltime clerical staff, and 3 Patrol Sergeants, 1 Detective Sergeant, 2 Detectives, 1 School Liaison Officer, 14 Patrol Officers, and 10 part-time Casual Call officers. The Chief also supervises the Fire Inspector Compliance Officer and 2 Parking Meter Attendants.
Parking: Several public parking lots are located in the downtown area. Parking tickets can be paid by mail, depositing the payment in one of the yellow "drop" boxes, or in person at the City Clerk's office. Parking permits @ $10.00 a month or $100 a year are available from the Clerk's office in City Hall. A free "Park and Ride" lot is located on Coulee Road near the Carmichael Road intersection.

Animal control and dog/cat licenses: All animals are prohibited from running at large within the City. LICENSING OF DOGS AND CATS IS REQUIRED; licenses are available at City Hall in the Clerk/Treasurer's office. For animal control information or to report animals at large, call (715) 386-4771.

Police & Fire Commission - Policy and Complaint Form: The City of Hudson Police and Fire Commission, at their meeting held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, adopted the Police and Fire Commission Disciplinary Complaint Policy and Procedure, and a PFC Complaint Form. These documents will be used for handling disciplinary complaints against any Hudson police officer or fire fighter.

Neighborhood Watch Program: The Police Department encourages participation in the Neighborhood Watch Program. For more details about the program in your neighborhood, call (715) 386-4771.
Citizen's Police Academy: The next Citizen's Police Academy classes will be held September 13 to November 8, 2011; cost is $25.00 per person. Medication Disposal Program: The Hudson Police Department is participating in the St. Croix County Medication Disposal Program. We are a drop-off location for residents to bring old or unneeded prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications.
